• I don't know how well I'd do in PE 306, but I think Physics 113 would rock.

• Edison did actually barbeque an elephant--as part of a campaign for the hearts and minds of the public, he assisted a zoo in putting down a violent elephant using alternating current, supposedly showing that it was more dangerous than his direct current.
• Edison is the first historical figures whose voice was recorded, since he invented the phonograph, so I could have done some actual research for my performance. Instead, I think I ended up channeling Dr. Venture / James Urbaniak.
• The line "Edison out!" makes me giggle. Is that wrong?

• This was actually the first [1] New Message script I ever wrote, back before I even had a title. I liked the idea of an alien invasion that was embarrassing.
• The voice of The Collective was created with the Compressor, Chorus, and Vocal Transformer settings in Garageband.

• I put in the mention of alcohol as an homage to a pretty obscure 1950's moving featuring a young Frank Gorshin (TV's Riddler). Now I remember that alcohol was the alien's weapon, and that their fatal weakness was light, leading to their destruction by the headlights of the cars gathered at the local lovers' lane. Ah, they just don't make 'em like that any more. Or maybe they do...
• Yes, this is supposed to be a weekly podcast. And yes, I didn't post one last week. But now I've posted two this week, which averages out to one a week. So that counts as weekly. Doesn't it? Huh? Guys?
